The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 has had a full redesign inside and out for its fifth generation. GMC is introducing two next-gen small-block V8 engines buyers can choose between. Some trims have been retired to streamline the lineup, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of the storied Denali and Denali Ultimate trim levels.
Technology Highlights
The new Sierra 1500 features more screen space than ever before. Premium trims have a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument gauge, and a front passenger screen. GM's Super Cruise hands-free tech has been expanded to over 600,000 miles of mapped roads, and even works when towing a heavy trailer.
Design & Styling
The SLE and SLT trims have been completely retired for 2027. The base Pro model and the Elevation return. The AT4 and AT4X are back for extreme off-roading capability. Plus, the Denali and Denali Ultimate luxury trims return for their 25th birthday. Buyers can also customize the cab style and bed length on their new truck.
